Every year, hundreds of students and faculty visit educational institutions in the European Union to learn, share and collaborate. This cross-cultural networking is made possible by the ERASMUS Capacity Building for Higher Educational Institutions programme .
On November 1, 2023, representatives from Nepalese universities met with @EUAmbNepal to share their progress and challenges under the Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE) projects supported by the European Union . Representatives from Tribhuwan University , Kathmandu University and Pokhara University appreciated the support of the European Union and the Erasmus programme in international networking and capacity building.
@EUAmbNepal pledged continued support for Nepal’s higher education but also stressed the need for gender parity, not just among students but also among staff and university officials that are exposed to the programme. ERASMUS currently supports 12 Capacity Building in Higher Education ( CBHE) projects at various universities in Nepal that include student and faculty exchange, cooperation between European and Nepali universities, and capacity building for Nepal’s institutions of higher education.
