Location, context, time, and duration
Exactly a month after the Hi Tea, the Instructor Preparatory Workshop was conducted. The workshop was conducted in the Administration Building because the Design Thinking Lab was occupied. The half day program was dedicated to sharing plans on the implementation of design thinking concept for semester 1 syllabus.
Participants
The session was attended by six lecturers from Universiti Tenaga Nasional who would be implementing design thinking their ICT courses in the upcoming semester in September 2022.
Description of activities
The event was a half-day sharing session where each instructor explained a specific topic and some activities recommended for use. Each instructor also shared on how the marking rubrics will reflect the implementation of design thinking in their courses.
Feedback and web presence
All pilot instructors shared their plan on how to execute design thinking approaches in their teaching. They also highlighted some improvements to be made based on their initial trial in the recent semester. The instructors also showed enthusiasm in the ideas of how design thinking activities can improve students’ innovativeness in the next semester.
