Audience
The event focused on applying design thinking in digital transformation, making it more agile and more pragmatic. It was attended by approximately 70 lecturers in IT and related technologies from member universities in VNUHCM, such as VGU, Polytechnic University – HCMC, University of IT, International University, and University of Natural Sciences – HCMC.
Description of activities
The event focused on how to effectively apply design thinking in IT courses to stimulate digital transformation. The event included a plenary session and 3 discussion groups on data analytics, IT services, and practice of the design thinking in courses.
The event brought a lot of innovative ideas on how to apply design thinking in IT courses in difference domains and levels. The event further focused on how gamification can be integrated in courses for enhancing student interest and motivation. In short, the event was a design thinking session on how to apply design thinking! Notably, project-based learning and active learning are already integratred into IT courses with positive outcomes. The further integration of design thinking results into IT courses becoming significantly more attractive, differing totally from their original version.
