The event took place on September 23, 2023 at Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Malaya, in conjunction with International Youth Day organised by the University of Malaya UNESCO Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants are among the visitors who visited Institute of Advanced Studies to participate in International Youth Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description of activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was conducted by students committee of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) UM Affinity Student Branch. The Design Thinking Challenge and Booth Exhibition took place on September 22, 2023 with the aim to provide exposure and cultivate hands-on skills in relation to Design Thinking methodology. This event is organised in collaboration with IEEE UM Student Branch and IEEE UM Women In Engineering, with the conjunction of International Youth Day by UM UNESCO Club at Institute of Advanced Studies, Universiti Malaya as it was seen as a good opportunity for community building of ICT-INOV to reach a wide range of audiences that came from different backgrounds and education levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors of International Youth Day were invited to pay a visit to our booth. They were exposed to Design Thinking methodology and how it is applied to solve problems in various domains. Aside from that, a challenge was held to test visitors\u2019 understanding of Design Thinking. They were given 3 challenges or problems that required them to be solved using the introduced approach and had the options to either solve only one or more. The visitors also had the chance to use 3D pens in order to develop their proposed solutions to the challenges. Through this event, the Design Thinking approach brought by the ICT-INOV project was able to be delivered to the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
